Avenue Bridge Collaboration Program

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

You have the opportunity to double your impact by supporting our upcoming ABC Academic Support Program for the 24-25 school year and two educational camps in the Avenue community during summer 2025!  The Daniel Foundation will match your investment to our ABC Program which will provide advance equity in education as we continue to expand the current education pipeline in the Avenue community through accessible programming that impacts each child’s unique abilities and experiences.

ABC Academic Support: The ABC Academic Support Program operates in three Mobile County Public Schools located in the Avenue—Florence Howard Elementary, Calloway-Smith Middle School, and Pathway K-5. Our goal is to bridge educational disparities for teachers and students by providing supplemental resources, such as academic and extracurricular clubs, student incentives, mentoring programs, and teacher appreciation events. Through these diverse avenues for student engagement and teacher recognition, we create a supportive learning environment that fosters academic and personal growth.

Paradise of Learning: This Summer Academic Camp focuses on literacy and math remediation for students at Florence Howard Elementary School in the Avenue community. We are honored to come alongside their teachers and students to provide them with additional opportunities through books, activity backpacks, and an end-of-camp celebration helping students stay academically engaged and prepared for the school year ahead.

SPARK Summer Camp: This six week summer camp sets out to empower children to develop a lifelong love of learning and cultivate their problem-solving skills during the summer months. By integrating evidence-based reading intervention strategies with engaging STEAM activities, we aim to create a unique summer experience that inspires learning.
